Monday Oct 16th Public Meeting

St Mary’s Church Hall  starts 8pm

Dear All,

This meeting is intended to bring you up to speed with recent events and explain what needs to be done next to ensure that our Neighbourhood plan can help to shape the future plans for Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall .

You will have seen that HCC held a second consultation on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of October to showcase their revised planning proposal.  Remember that the Local Plan has not yet been passed so this is an attempt to prove the viability of the development of the Baldock area.  We hope you attended one or both sessions and gave them your views.

At our meeting on 16th Oct we intend to discuss the implications of the HCC plan and what we need to do next as a group.

We have already been reaching out to the community, such as the schools, in various ways and will report back on these activities as well as those we plan to carry out throughout the autumn.  We shall be preparing our volunteers so they are ready to visit groups and organisations in the town to raise awareness of the group and ensure the whole community has a chance to contribute to its aims.

We shall be reviewing the evidence already available to us, and discussing our survey of Baldock residents and businesses.   We would like your help in deciding what questions to ask.

We hope to hold the annual elections for our committee. There will be more details on how this will be done shortly, but in the meantime, please give some thought as to whether you or anyone else you know may be interested in standing. If you wish to nominate someone for an officer or non-officer position make sure you have their permission to do so.  We are always keen on getting new members and new ideas.

We look forward to seeing you on 16th Oct,  at 8pm.

Kind regards
The Baldock, Bygrave and Clothall Planning Group Committee
